- Do some Background research into the Supplier/ Manufacturers business and the product they are offering Remember Cheaper is not always better.
- How long Has the Supplier/ Manufacturer been in business?
- Do they have a licensed Mechanic / Welder / Engineer / Electrician / Plumber to build the caravan to Australian Safety Standards? Get proof. Don’t take their word on it .

We are seeing a lot of fly-by-nighters starting up businesses to import floats…are they still going to be around if things go wrong? We only have to look at the Solar Industry to know the effects of this.
A lot of finance companies offer finance to caravan customers. Many finance companies who value their clients and the products they buy will research the supplier to make sure they are reputable. They need to be in tune with caravan suppliers all over Australia and converse with the industry watchdog authority on these suppliers. Most finance companies DO NOT finance caravan from suppliers that they know may create problems for their clients.
FINAL TIP: NEVER pay full price for a caravan that has not arrived in Australia, pay a deposit but DO NOT make a full payment. There is no guarantee these goods will arrive and if this happens you have NO FALLBACK position. Camperoad only requires a 30% deposit to order a new build caravan and final payment on completion.
